A quick side to go along for the ride with pork, chicken, or beef. Super simple and so delicious! Ingredients:
2 cans white hominy, drained(15.5 oz cans) |
1/2 stick butter |
1/2 cup sliced green onions |
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper |
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper |
4 slices bacon, cooked crispy |
1/2 cup sour cream |
salt to taste |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
pinch of parsley |
Directions:
1. In skillet, saute bell pepper in butter for 2 minutes over low/med heat. 2. Stir in drained hominy, green onions, and spices and continue to cook 3 to 5 minutes. 3. Sir in sour cream and cook 1 minute 4. Place hominy in casserole dish. 5. Stir in bacon and cook in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes. 6. Before serving sprinkle with parsley flakes. |
