This is a Brookshires recipe.... Its quick and simple ... good for brunch or just breakfast.. Ingredients:
1 pound bulk pork sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained. |
6 slices bread, crusts removed |
3 tablespoons butter |
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese |
5 eggs |
2 cups half and half |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
Directions:
1. Butter bread; cut into cubes. 2. Arrange in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. 3. Sprinkle with sausage; top with cheese. 4. Beat remaining ingredients together and pour over sausage mixture. 5. Chill overnight. 6. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees. |
