I don't know why but the combination to me just screams Thanksgiving/Christmas. Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) bag frozen green beans |
1 (8 ounce) package slivered almonds |
2 cups chicken stock |
3 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon lemon pepper |
Directions:
1. Toast the almond slivers in the 350 degree oven for 5 minutes and set aside. 2. Bring chicken stock to a rolling boil and add green beans. 3. Cook, stirring occasionally, to desired doneness. 4. Drain greenbeans and toss with almonds, butter and lemon pepper. |
