Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar |
4 cups half-and-half |
1 1/4 cups whole milk |
6 egg yolks, lightly beaten |
1 1/4 cups bourbon, divided |
2 cups whipping cream, whipped |
1/8 teaspoon fresh nutmeg, grated (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan; cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until mixture reaches 160:. 2. Stir in 3/4 cup bourbon. 3. Cool; cover and chill. 4. Combine chilled mixture and remaining 1/2 cup bourbon in a punch bowl. 5. Gently stir in whipped cream; sprinkle with nutmeg if using. |
