Here's a simple to make square recipe that I sometimes make for the holidays. I have excellent written on the paper, so I know it's a keeper. This recipe differs slightly from the one already on 'zaar. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups corn flake crumbs |
1/2 cup margarine, softened |
3 tablespoons sugar |
2 cups mini marshmallows |
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut |
3/4 cup cherries, chopped (candied-red and green) |
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk |
1 cup nuts, chopped (i like pecans) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*. Lightly spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray. 2. Combine the cornflakes, margarine and sugar in the pan. Press down tightly with the back of a spoon. 3. Sprinkle marshmallows, coconut and cherries evenly over the crust. 4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top. 5. Sprinkle the nuts over the milk, pressing into the mixture. 6. Bake 350* for 20-25 minutes. Refrigerate before cutting. |
