A tangy cheese ball for celebrations. Ingredients:
4 ounces cream cheese, softened |
8 ounces aged cheddar cheese, shredded |
1 tablespoon red onion, minced |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Mix shredded cheese with cream cheese and other ingredients except nuts. Form into a ball. (Tip - use low-fat cream cheese). 2. Roll in walnut pieces (may substitute pecans). 3. Cover and chill overnight. 4. Serve with crostini and crackers. 5. For low carb/gluten-free diets, serve on apple slices and celery sticks. |
