This looks and tastes just like pecan pie, but it's made with oatmeal. My mom by marriage gave this recipe to me over 40 years ago. There's not a family get together without someone bringing one for our family dinners. Ingredients:
3/4 cup light corn syrup |
3/4 cup white sugar |
3 eggs |
1 cup rolled oats |
1/4 cup margarine, melted |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. In a large bowl, combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, melted margarine and vanilla. Mix in the oatmeal. Pour filling into pie shell. 3. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. |
