Her comments: This bread has nice nutty flavor, thanks to the flax seeds. It is good enough to be eaten plain, but sometimes I make a banana sandwich: slice a banana lengthwise, place on a slice of bread, sprinkle some cinnamon and place another slice of bread on top. 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast |
1/4 cup rye flour |
1 cup bread flour |
2 cups whole wheat flour |
1 tablespoon vital wheat gluten |
1 tablespoon oat bran |
1 tablespoon oats |
2 tablespoons flax seeds |
2 tablespoons wheat bran |
2 tablespoons powdered milk |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1 tablespoon honey |
2 tablespoons prune puree or 2 tablespoons applesauce |
1 1/4 cups water |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine manual 2. Cook on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturer's directions. |
