Her comments: This bread has nice nutty flavor, thanks to the flax seeds. It is good enough to be eaten plain, but sometimes I make a banana sandwich: slice a banana lengthwise, place on a slice of bread, sprinkle some cinnamon and place another slice of bread on top. Great with a nice cup of coffee or tea. I am collecting high fiber bread machine recipes and posting them on my favorite site - Recipezaar.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
1/4 cup rye flour
1 cup bread flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon vital wheat gluten
1 tablespoon oat bran
1 tablespoon oats
2 tablespoons flax seeds
2 tablespoons wheat bran
2 tablespoons powdered milk
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons prune puree or 2 tablespoons applesauce
1 1/4 cups water
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine manual
2. Cook on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturer's directions.
