This is an awesome soup to serve for brunches, it has an elegant but yet satisfying flavor of apples,all of my guests just raved about it. Ingredients:
4 apples, pared and diced |
1/4 cup sugar |
grated rind of 1 lemon |
3 cups hot water |
1/2 cup red or white wine |
2 tbsp. cold water |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
Directions:
1. combine the apples, sugar, lemon rind and hot water. 2. cook until apples are tender 3. add the wine 4. blend the flour and cold water until smooth 5. thin with a few Tbsps. of hot sauce 6. then mix into the soup 7. simmer 5 minutes 8. chill and add sour cream before serving. |
