An easy cookie recipe that starts out with a store-bought roll of cookie dough, but ends up looking and tasting completely scratch-baked. Ingredients:
18-ounce roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough, sliced 1/4-inch thin |
14-ounce package chocolate mint wafers (thin mint cookies) ( * ) |
1 egg, beaten |
1 tablespoon coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans, enough to cover top of cookies |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. Sllightly grease a cookie sheet. Place slices of sugar cookies on sheet, about 2 - 3 inches apart. Top each with a chocolate wafer. Cover wafer with anouther slice of cookie dough. Brush dough with a beaten egg. Press nuts into top of dough. 3. Bake for 10 minutes 4. * A plain chocolate wafer can replace chocolate-mint wafer |
