Hickory Smoked Burgers With Caramelized Onions

Just what the name says. Hickory Smoked Burgers. A Smokey spin on a classic burger. You'll love the smoky flavor. Check out my video on . I also use my 8 hour buns which you can find here on .
Ingredients:
3 lbs ground chuck, 80/20
3 sweet onions (vidalia)
1/4-1/2 cup butter
Directions:
1. Melt butter in frying pan and add sliced onion. sauté until caramelized but don't burn them.
2. Spread Ground Chuck until very flat. Cold smoke for 20 minutes using whatever wood you prefer. I use Hickory Wood Pellets. See video on Youtube to see how.
3. Make patties how every you like. I use a burger press and make them 6oz.
4. Grill burgers to your liking. Slap on Bun and top with Caramelized Onions and whatever you like. Enjoy.
