Another great recipe from Hungry Girl. Fried bananas with sweet cream cheese frosting for only about 200 calories, 1g of fat & tons of fiber. Hooray! Ingredients:
1 large banana |
1/4 cup fiber one cereal, all-bran (original) |
3 tablespoons cool whip free |
2 tablespoons splenda sugar substitute |
1 tablespoon fat free cream cheese, softened |
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Combine the cream cheese, Cool Whip & 1/2 the Splenda. 2. Stir til smooth then place in te fridge to chill. 3. In a food processor or blender, combine Fiber One, cinnamon and remaining Splenda, then blend til breadcrumb-like. 4. Cut bananas in half widthwise then lengthwise, so you have 4 pieces. 5. Spray the bananas with nonstick spray then roll in the 'breadcrumb' mixture. 6. Cook the bananas in a pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side until crispy. 7. Serve with chilled cream cheese frosting. |
