Very easy to make, and very good Ingredients:
3/4 cup hershey's cocoa |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
2/3 cup oil or 2/3 cup melted butter |
1/2 cup boiling water |
2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
1 1/3 cups unsifted flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Stir cocoa and baking soda in mixing bowl. 2. Blend in 1/3 cup of oil or butter. 3. Add boiling water; stir until mixture thickens. 4. Stir in sugar, eggs, and remaining 1/3 cup of oil or butter. 5. Add flour, vanilla and salt blend. 6. Pour in a greased 9x13 pan. 7. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool and frost if desired. (nuts can be added if desired). 8. I sometimes double the recipe and bake on half sheet cake pan. |
