Granny's Cajun Cookin' by Mrs. Melba Jeanne Patin Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1 cup flour |
3/4 tsp soda |
4 eggs |
1 cup sugar |
1 large (16 oz) can chocolate syrup |
1 tsp vanilla |
1 cup pecans |
chocolate icing |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 cup butter |
1/4 cup sweet milk |
1/4 cup hershey' s cocoa |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add syrup, flour and remaining ingredients. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes in lightly greased Pyrex pan. Prepare the following icing. 2. Icing: 3. Mix together. Bring to a boil. After boiling point is reached, boil 1 minute. Beat until icing is of spreading consistency. |
