If you are a chocolate lover, this is a cake for you. Having lived in Hershey, Pa at one time, this is a good recipe to share! Ingredients:
1 stick butter or margarine |
1 tsp. vanilla |
1 cup sugar |
1 can hershey syrup (16 oz.) |
4 eggs |
1 cup flour |
hershey frosting |
1 stick butter or margarine |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup milk |
4 hershey bars (plain) |
Directions:
1. Cake: 2. Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add the flour, mix well with wooden spoon (do not use electric mixer). Add Hershey syrup and mix thoroughly. Bake at 350 degrees in a 9x12 greased & floured plan for 25-30 minutes, or until cake is done. 3. Frosting: 4. Boil first 3 ingredients for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and beat in four hershey bars until smooth. Spread on WARM cake. You can sprinkle with chopped nut if desired. 5. Enjoy! |
