The sourdough starter gives the pancakes a taste a little zingier than buttermilk Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
3/4 tsp baking soda |
1/2 tsp. salt |
2 tbsp. sugar |
1 tsp. baking powder |
1 cup herman sourdough starter |
1/3 cup vegetable oil |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup milk |

Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. Add the wet ingredients; beat well. 2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour a 1/4 cup measure for each pancake onto the griddle. Brown on both sides and serve hot with lots of butter and syrup. |
