Can be made in 45 minutes or less. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne |
2 cups assorted nuts such as walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, and natural almonds (with skins) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. In a bowl whisk together oil, thyme, salt, and cayenne. Add nuts and toss to coat well. Spread nuts in a shallow baking pan and roast in middle of oven 10 minutes. nuts may be made 3 days ahead and kept in an airtight container. 3. Serve nuts warm or at room temperature. |
