The early Shakers cultivated herbs. A similar version of this recipe was occasionally prepared at Sabbathday Lake Shaker Community.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
2 (1-pound) pork tenderloins, trimmed
cooking spray
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 475°.
2. Combine first 5 ingredients in a small bowl. Rub butter mixture over pork. Place pork on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 475° for 17 minutes or until a thermometer registers 155° (slightly pink). Let stand 5 minutes; thinly slice.
