This is my dad's recipe which I think he got from his mom. Anyway, I love it and it makes me think of home. Ingredients:
1 lb small red potato |
2 bay leaves |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram |
1/4 teaspoon thyme |
pepper |
1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas, thawed |
Directions:
1. Place potatoes and bay leaves in a saucean; cover with water. 2. Bring to a boil. 3. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or just until tender; drain. 4. Cut potatoes into quarters and return to pan. 5. Add butter and seasonings. 6. Cover and cook for 5-8 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. 7. Stir in peas; heat through. 8. Discard bay leaves. |
