Low Carb Slow Cooker Recipes Serves 8-10 Ingredients:
3 lbs beef chuck roast |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup port wine (or apple juice) |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
3 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon dried thyme |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
hot cooked pasta (optional) |
Directions:
1. Trim meat and place in cooker. 2. In a bowl combine onion, port wine, tomato sauce, tapioca, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, oregano, and garlic. Pour over meat. 3. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. Transfer meat to serving platter. 4. Skim fat from gravy. Pour gravy in bowl for serving with the roast. Serve with hot cooked pasta. |
