Ingredients:
1 cup(s) cornmeal |
1 cup(s) all-purpose flour |
4 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
4 tablespoon(s) sugar |
2 eggs |
4 tablespoon(s) canola oil |
1 cup(s) whole-milk |
4 teaspoon(s) fresh sage minced |
1/3 cup(s) fresh parsley chopped |
2 tablespoon(s) butter |
Directions:
1. In medium bowl, stir together 1 cup cornmeal, 1 cup flour, 4 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 4 tablespoons sugar. 2. In a small bowl, lightly beat 2 eggs then stir in 4 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 cup whole milk, 4 teaspoons minced fresh sage and, if desired, 1/3 cup of finely chopped parsley. 3. Stir the milk mixture into the cornmeal mixture and stir just until combined. 4. Scrape the batter into a buttered 8-inch-square baking pan. Bake in a 400-degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned. 5.
