Easy way to prepare chicken, for those busy week night dinners. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups oatmeal, processed in blender for 1 minute |
1 teaspoon basil, dried |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried |
1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
4 chicken breasts, skinless, boneless, cut into 1-inch strips (or 12 tenderloin strips) |
1/4 cup 2% low-fat milk |
1/4 cup margarine, melted |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. 2. Combine first 6 ingredients and place in a shallow dish. 3. Put milk in a shallow dish. 4. Dip chicken into dry mixture. 5. Then dip into milk. 6. Then dip into dry mixture again. 7. Place chicken pieces on a 10 x 15 baking pan. 8. Drizzle chicken with melted margarine. 9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. |
