I haven't tried it yet but it looks so good that I wanted to save it for safekeeping. Cook time does not include cooling time. Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour |
3 tablespoons sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1 tablespoon caraway seed |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1 egg |
1 cup milk |
1/3 cup canola oil |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. 2. In a small bowl, whisk the egg, milk, and oil; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. 3. Transfer to a greased 9x5 pan. 4. Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. 5. Cool for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. |
