Healthy and for the bread machine...
Ingredients:
1 cup warm nonfat milk (70-80 degrees)
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter, divided
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons caraway seeds
2 teaspoons poppy seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons minced dried onion
1 teaspoon rubbed sage
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups bread flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
Directions:
1. Put all of the ingredients into a bread machine (put in order that the bread machine tells you to). Let it mix for 5 minute and if wet add 1-2 T. flour, and if dry add 1 -2 T. water.
2. When the cycle is done pour on to floured counter and punch down.
3. Form into a loaf, place in pan, and let rise until doubled - 45 minute or so.
4. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
5. Cool on wire rack, and brush with remaining (1 T.) butter.
