Helluva Hamburger Vegetable Soup |

Very tasty New England Soup. Mom used to make this about every other week in the winter. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger (lean) |
2 large turnips (diced) |
4 medium potatoes (diced) |
2 cups chopped carrots |
1 medium onion |
1 cup frozen peas |
1 cup mushroom (sliced) |
12 cups water |
4 teaspoons beef stock (or if desired substitute 3 cups of water for 3- 15oz cans beef broth.) |
Directions:
1. Brown hamburger and onion in large stock pot. 2. Add all other ingredients with the water Bring to boil Reduce heat to medium and let simmer approx 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. 3. Season to Taste! |
