This meatloaf has it's foundation from Germany! Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef |
1 cup beer or 1 cup bouillon |
1/4 cup onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon caraway seed |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
3 slices rye bread, torn up |
1 large egg |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon celery seed |
Directions:
1. Heat the oven to 350°F Mix all of the ingredients together. Spread the mixture into an ungreased loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3 . Bake uncovered for 1 - 1 1/4 hours. 2. Drain off the excess fat and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. Serve on a heated platter. |
