3/4 cup flour |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/3 cup unsalted butter |
1 1/4 cups sugar |
2 tablespoons water |
12 ounces chocolate chips |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup finely chopped toasted blanched almond |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl and set aside. 2. In a saucepan, bring butter, sugar and water just to a boil. 3. Remove from heat and add 6 oz. of chocolate chip morsels and vanilla. 4. Stir until smooth. 5. Place chocolate mixture into a mixing bowl. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each egg. 6. Blend in flour mixture. 7. Stir in remaining chocolate chip morsels and the chopped almonds. 8. Spread into a 9 square baking pan, and bake for 30 minutes in a 325 degree oven. 9. Cool and cut into squares. |
