This is a great candy to serve at Christmas, or anytime. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
2 cups butter |
2 tablespoons light corn syrup |
6 tablespoons water |
8 ounces hershey bars |
Directions:
1. Bring all ingredients (except chocolate) to a boil, stirring constantly, until temperature reaches 290 degrees. 2. Immediately pour onto a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with nonstick spray. Let set a few minutes. 3. While still warm, break up the Hershey bar and crumble over the top. When it melts, spred over the top of the mixture. You can also sprinkle it with chopped nuts if you desire. 4. Place in the refrigerator until chocolate hardens, then crack into pieces. |
