Super easy kid-friendly recipe for a kicked up chili mac from McCormick. I usually season the meat on my own instead of using the chili seasoning mix, because I have all the stuff I use when making chili from scratch. Ingredients:
2 cups elbow macaroni |
1 pound lean ground beef |
1 package mccormick chili seasoning mix or |
(1 t worcestershire, 2 t chili powder, 1 t cumin, seasoned salt |
garlic pepper, 1 t chopped garlic, dash cayene, dash taco seasoning, 1/2 t spicy mustard) |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper |
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) tomatoes, chopped |
3/4 cup water - or beef broth |
shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Cook macaroni as directed on package. 2. Drain and rinse 3. Meanwhile, brown ground beef in large skillet. 4. Drain fat. 5. Stir in Seasoning Mix, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes and water/broth Bring to boil. 6. Reduce heat to low; simmer 15 minutes 7. Add drained macaroni; simmer 5 minutes. 8. Top with shredded cheese |
