A wonderful and robust Cabbage Soup that the whole family will love. My daughter asks for it! Full of vegetables that we all need and presumably low fat. Yum! This isn't your Grandma's old plain recipe anymore! Read more ! One in a million recipe...actually no tomatoes! Ingredients:
6 cups boiling water & chicken buillon to match water amount |

6 cups chicken broth |
1/2 head of cabbage |
4-5 cups cubed ham |
2 large carrots sliced |
2-3 med potatoes cubed |
cut onion...amount is up to you..i like onion and used about 2/3 cup. |
1/8 cup parsley |
to taste |
garlic salt |
garlic powder |
black peppers |
dash of peppercorn |
sea salt |
white cooking wine |
white wine vinegar |
it's always good to start out with a small amount and add to it.... |
Directions:
1. Add 6 cups water & chicken buillon (or 6 cups chicken broth) to slow cooker and turn on high. 2. Add cabbage, ham, carrots, potatoes, onion, and parsley. 3. Slowly add spices to taste. You'll smell the aroma when you get the right amount. 4. Let sit on high for about one hour. Then put on auto for 3-4 more hours. 5. Stir occasionally. Smell and taste to ensure proper amounts of spice are in it. 6. Serve with bread or crackers. 7. Great to store in freezer and have for other meals! |
