Delicious, sumptuous banana bread for the family to enjoy! Best eaten warm in good company. Ingredients:
240 g self raising flour |
150 g sugar |
1 medium egg |
45 g butter |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp baking soda |
3 bananas |
Directions:
1. Mash the bananas. 2. In a separate bowl, beat together the softened butter, sugar and egg. 3. Add the mashed bananas to the butter, sugar and egg mixture. 4. Sift in the dry ingredients; flour, salt, baking soda. 5. Cook for approximately an hour in a medium sized bread tin. Or, in several small muffin tins cook for 20-30 minutes depending on the variation in size. 6. *TIP* If the top is getting too brown, place a sheet of aluminum foil over the top so the inside continues to cook while the top remains browned to your liking. |
