An easy bread that doesn't use yeast. Good for breakfast toasted with butter. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 cup sugar |
3 -4 tablespoons butter |
1 egg |
3/4 cup sour milk |
Directions:
1. Mix flour, salt, soda, sugar and butter. 2. Put in egg and sour milk and mix well. 3. Turn out onto a breadboard and knead it a little, then put in a pan and bake. 4. To a nice golden brown in a 350 oven 25-30 minutes. |
