Ingredients:
1 (16-ounce) loaf thinly sliced white bread |
about 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened |
3/4 cup cherry jam |
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon half-and-half |
Directions:
1. Trim crust from bread. Cut a heart and a diamond shape from each slice of bread, using 2-inch diamond-shaped and 2 1/2-inch heart-shaped cookie cutters. Spread each with butter and jam. 2. Combine cream cheese and half-and-half; mix well. Spoon cream cheese mixture into pastry bag, and pipe around edge of each sandwich. Chill. |
