This is a quick way to satisfy your brownie cravings with a low-fat and low-cal recipe. I also cut back a lot of sugar in favor of spices to make it even better for you. Enjoy! Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 cup cheerios toasted oat cereal (crushed) |
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon allspice |
3 tablespoons cocoa |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup oats |
1/4 cup honey |
1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract |
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
1 egg |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Grease an 8x8 baking pan. 3. Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. 4. Combine all wet ingredients in another bowl. 5. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients. 6. Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. |
