I know that there is a lot of recipes here for ranch dressing, and why not; it is so good! This is my version. After making several of the other versions on this site and playing around, I wanted something a little more healthy. Since finding diet food ie, low fat mayo, sour cream, etc. is just not possible in France, I decided to try plain yogurt. It is so good! This has the consistancy of a dip; if you want more of a dressing, don't drain the yogurt. This does get better if it sits, however, if you are making it well in advance, use dried or powedered garlic, as it will get pretty strong. I like it, but some of you may not be as avid of a garlic lover as I am. Ingredients:

8 ounces plain yogurt, drained |
                                                1 garlic clove, minced |
                                                1 tablespoon onion powder |
                                                1 teaspoon dried parsley |
                                                1 teaspoon dried dill |
1/8-1/4 fluid ounce vinegar, splash (optional) |
                                                salt and pepper |

                    Directions:

                                1. Mix together and cover to chill. I never seem to get this far, though! |
