Healthy Oatmeal Craisin Waffles or Pancakes |

If you want a filling, healthy breakfast, then this is a great recipe. I love cinnamon, so if you're not a big fan, you might want to cut down the amount you put in. These waffles are a little hard to work with, but are well worth it! I think they're good enough to eat plain, but a little bit of butter on top is also good. Ingredients:
1/2 cup whole wheat flour |
1/2 cup oatmeal |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/2 tablespoons corn oil |
1/2 cup and 1 tablespoon buttermilk |
1/4 cup craisins |
Directions:
1. Combine all of the ingredients except the craisins. 2. Spoon the batter onto the griddle or waffle iron, and sprinkle however many cranberries you desire on top. 3. Bake like normal. |
