Lower the fat & calories without lowering the flavor. Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1 1/2 cups oatmeal |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 cup honey |
1/4 cup canola oil |
1/4 cup applesauce, unsweetened |
1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup raisins |
1/2 cup walnuts |
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients (through nutmeg) in large bowl. Combine wet ingredients (through vanilla) in medium bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry; if too wet, add pinch of flour. If not binding well, add egg white. Stir in raisins & nuts. Cool 20 min in fridge. 2. Drop by teaspoons onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press down with fork. 3. Bake at 335 for 15-20 min or until bottoms are golden. |
