Sorry about the name, thats just what i call them, and they probably would help you poo too, what with all the prunes.. Great energy food for kids, or to take camping/bushwalking. Ingredients:
1/2 cup dried pitted pruned, chopped |
1/4 cup dried apricots |
1/2 cup water |
1/4 tsp bi-carb soda |
1 tbsp peanut butter |
1/4 cup granulated peanuts |
1 1/2 cups cornflakes cereal |
about 1/2 cup dessicated coconut (or toasted wheat germ if you like) |
Directions:
1. place prunes, apricots and water in a saucepan. Bring to the boil, then simmer, uncovered for about 5 minutes, or until the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and stir in bi-carb soda. 2. Add peanut butter to fruits, then peanuts and cornflakes. Mix well. 3. Shape 2 teaspoons-full into balls and roll in coconut or wheat germ to coat. 4. Keep in the fridge until needed. 5. This recipe would double easily. |
