Energy food Ingredients:
150 g margarine |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg |
3 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1 cup flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
2 cups rolled oats |
1/2 cup macadamia nuts |
1/2 cup sliced almonds |
1/2 cup dried cherries |
1/4 cup sunflower seeds |
1/4 cup sesame seeds |
1/4 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Cream butter (or sub) with sugar until light and smooth. 2. Add egg (or sub) and vanilla; beat until smooth. 3. Sift flour and baking powder into mix and stir lightly. 4. Add in oats, macadamia nuts, almonds, cherries, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and raisins; mix until firm. 5. Roll tablespoon sized amounts into balls and place on baking tray (they do grow). 6. Flatten the balls with a fork (if fork sticks to cookies, dip fork in flour). 7. Bake cookies for 25 minutes. |
