Healthy Apple Pie Oatmeal |

I came up with this recipe as a healthy breakfast version of apple pie. Ingredients:
1/2 cup old fashioned oats |
1/2 large apple, chopped |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 cup low-fat milk |
sugar substitute, to taste |
1/4 cup plain low-fat yogurt |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
sugar substitute, to taste |
Directions:
1. Fill a large bowl with oats and chopped apple. 2. Cover with water and stir. 3. Place in microwave and cook for 3 minutes. 4. Add cinnamon, milk and sugar substitute 5. Return to microwave for another 1-2 minutes. 6. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, vanilla and sugar substitute 7. Remove oatmeal from microwave and top with yogurt. |
