Perfect for fall, good as a cookie or hermit square Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup whole wheat flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 teaspoon ground cloves |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 cups brown sugar |
2 egg whites |
1 1/2 cups chopped apples |
1 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. 3. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter until light and fluffy; mix in sugar and egg. 4. Stir in flour mixture, and mix thoroughly; fold in apples and raisins. 5. Pour into a pregreased baking dish. 6. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. 7. Let cool. |
