This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Park Estate in Irving, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
1/3 cup mayonnaise |
8-1/4 ounce can crushed pineapple drained |
1/4 cup chopped pecans |
2 tablespoons milk |
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion |
6 whole wheat bread slices |
alfalfa sprouts |
american cheese |
6 tomato slices |
cooked chicken slices |
Directions:
1. Combine mayonnaise, pineapple, nuts, milk and onion then mix lightly. For each sandwich spread whole wheat bread slice with prepared sauce. Cover with alfalfa sprouts. Top with American cheese, tomato, chicken and second slice of American cheese. Cut in triangles and serve with remaining sauce. |
