Health Conscious Turkey Meatloaf |

A first attempt at meatloaf that turned out fantastic and low fat as well! Ingredients:
1 1/2-2 lbs extra-lean ground turkey or 1 1/2-2 lbs ground beef |
1 egg |
2 cloves. chopped garlic |
1/2 cup chopped sweet onion |
1/2 cup chopped green pepper |
1/2 cup finely chopped celery |
1/2 cup tomato sauce |
1 cup dried breadcrumbs |
1 tablespoon dijon mustard |
1 tablespoon dried parsley |
1 tablespoon light soy sauce |
1 -2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
salt (to taste) |
black pepper (to taste) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Mix all ingredients, shape into a loaf, and place in a loaf pan. 3. Bake for about one hour. Depending on the shape and thickness of the loaf, you may need to cook it slightly longer. The recommended center temperature for poultry is: 165 degrees F. |
