This sweet butter is wonderful with pancakes or waffles. Also great on a warm cinnamon muffin.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup hazelnuts
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Toast hazlenuts on baking sheet for 10 - 15 minutes or until they are fragrant. Make sure to shake pan several times during roasting.
3. Dump them onto a kitchen towel and fold the towel over so they will steam. Let cool for 15 minutes and then rub with towel to release the skin.
4. Process nuts in a food processor until they are finely chopped. Add butter in small pieces along with the vanilla and process until smooth.
5. Refrigerate butter until needed.
