This recipe goes with Waialua Chocolate Tart with Sable Crust Ingredients:
1 large egg |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 hawaiian vanilla bean |
1/3 cup fresh lilikoi or passion fruit juice blend |
1 tablespoon butter |
Directions:
1. Combine egg and sugar in a bowl, whisking until smooth. Split vanilla bean pod in half lengthwise, and scrape seeds into egg mixture. Whisk in juice blend. 2. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Stir in egg mixture, whisking constantly. Bring to a simmer; cook 6 minutes or until thickened, whisking constantly. Chill until ready to serve. |
