another version of hawaiian chicken I came across, except I made into chicken strips. Ingredients:
6 boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch strips |
2 tablespoons oil |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth |
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks |
1/4 cup vinegar |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped |
3 tablespoons cornstarch |
1/4 cup water |
Directions:
1. Brown chicken strips in oil, and transfer to slow cooker. 2. Combine the remaining ingredients, stir well, and pour over chicken. 3. Cover, cook on high for 4-6 hours. 4. Serve over white rice. |
