1 tablespoon butter |
1 1/2 cups chopped shiitake mushroom caps |
1 1/2 cups chicken broth or 1 1/2 cups vegetable broth |
1/2 cup whole milk |
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook, stirring, until caramelized, 4-5 minutes. 2. Add broth, milk, hoisin sauce, soy sauce and brown sugar and bring to a boil. 3. Transfer to a blender or use an immersion blender and puree until smooth. |
