Here is an easy rice side dish. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups rice |
2 1/2 cups chicken stock |
3/4 cup diced canned pineapple |
1 cup ham, diced |
3 tablespoons butter |
1/4 cup slivered almonds |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook rice in chicken stock until stock is absorbed. Brown pineapple and ham in butter in 1 1/2 quart casserole. Stir in rice and season, to taste, with salt and pepper. 2. Add almonds, stir well and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degree oven. |
