1 1/4 lbs ground beef |
2/3 cup cracker crumb |
1/3 cup onion (chopped) |
1 egg |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon ginger |
1/4 cup milk |
1 tablespoon shortening |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
23 ounces chunk pineapple (reserve liquid) |
1/3 cup vinegar |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1/3 cup green pepper (chopped) |
Directions:
1. Mix first 7 ingredients together, make mini meatballs. Melt shortening in fry pan & fry small meat balls. Pour fat from skillet & set aside meatballs. In small bowl, Mix cornstarch& sugar, stir in pineapple syrup, vinegar,& soy sauce, until smooth.Pour into skillet & cook until thickened. Add meatballs, pineapple & peppers. Heat through. Serve on rice or alone as an appetizer. |
