HAWAIIAN CARROTS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Granger Estate in Seven Points, Texas in 1986. Ingredients:
1-3/4 cup carrots peeled and diagonally sliced |
8 ounce can pineapple tidbits with juice |
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
Directions:
1. Cover carrots with water and bring to a boil. 2. Cover then reduce heat and simmer 12 minutes then drain well. 3. Mix pineapple, cornstarch and ginger then bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat to low and cook stirring constantly until thickened. 5. Add carrots and cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated stirring occasionally |
